Artista de la Universidad de los Andes con énfasis en Medios Electrónicos, especialista en Historia del Arte (M1) y Magister en Artes Electrónicas (M2). Estuvo vinculado como investigador asociado al Proyecto “Documents of the 20th Century Latin American and Latino Art”, coordinado por el International Center for the Arts of the Americas, oficina inscrita al Museo de Bellas Artes de Houston, Texas. Su trabajo de investigación y creación se enfoca sobre la construcción de Memoria a diferentes niveles, acercándose desde lo individual y hacia lo colectivo a la Historia nacional por medio del arte. En este sentido su obra busca señalar las diferentes relaciones donde se evidencia el medio, entendiéndolo como un elemento vital para la construcción del discurso y el relato, haciéndolo evidente.

Su obra ha sido exhibida en varias exposiciones individuales y colectivas en museos y galerías de arte de Bogotá, Berlín, Buenos Aires, Ciudad Juárez, Cúcuta, Denver, Madrid, Manizales, Medellín, Miami, Tokio y Venecia. Ha sido colaborador en publicaciones tales como Errata#, El Astrolabio y Revista Cronopio y conferencista y tallerista en espacios tales como el  MAMBO, el Festival Internacional de la Imagen e ISEA, realizado por la Universidad de Caldas y Plataforma Bogotá. 

A su vez, ha sido premiado nacional e internacionalmente dentro del marco de  convocatorias como la Feria del Millón 2016 (Premio Argos a la Excelencia Artística),de la Convocatoria de Arte Electrónico (2016) de la Outsiders Art Foundation en la Feria de Arte JustMad, el  Salón de Arte Joven 2015 de la Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño y la Convocatoria Es Cultura Local 2020 del Idartes (2020) en Madrid y Bogotá, respectivamente.

Artist from Los Andes University with emphasis on Media Arts, M1 in Art History, M2 in Electronic Arts. He participated as an associated researcher in the "Documents of the 20th Century Latin American and Latino Art Project”; coordinated by the International Center for the Arts of the Americas, registered office of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas (USA). His research focuses on the creation and construction of historical memory at different levels, focusing itself on the transition of the individual to the collective, exploring Colombian History. In this sense his work seeks to point out the different relationships where the medium can be understood as evidenced or a key element for the construction of discourse.

His work has been exhibited in several shows in Museums and Galleries in Bogotá, Berlín, Buenos Aires, Ciudad Juárez, Cúcuta, Denver, Madrid, Manizales, Medellín, Miami, Tokio and Venice. He has contributed to publications such as Errata#, Astrolabio and Cronopio Magazine, and has been invited as a lecturer and a workshop leader at institutions such as the MAMBO– Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá – and various events such  as the International Image Festival and ISEA  – conducted by the University of Caldas – and Plataforma Bogota.

He has been awarded nationally and internationally within the framework of the Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño`s Young talents Show 2015, the First Call for Electronic Arts, sponsored by the Outsiders Art Foundation in Madrid, the JustMad6 (2015) Art Fair, the Feria del Millón´s  Argos Excellence Award and the Es Cultura Local Call (2020) offered by Idartes – District´s institute for the Arts – in Bogotá.

Artiste de l'Université de los Andes avec un Master 1 en histoire de l'art (M1) et un Master 2 en arts électroniques (M2). Il a été affilié en tant que chercheur associé au projet «Documents sur l'art latino-américain et latino-américain du XXe siècle», coordonné par le Centre international des arts des Amériques, un bureau enregistré auprès du Musée des beaux-arts de Houston, Texas. Son travail de recherche et de création se concentre sur la construction de la Mémoire à différents niveaux, abordant l'histoire nationale de l'individuel vers le collectif à travers l'art. En ce sens, son travail cherche à souligner les différentes relations où le moyen est mis en évidence, comme un élément vital pour la construction du discours et de l'histoire, et ce fait,  le rendant évident.
 
Son travail a été affiché dans diverses expositions individuelles et collectives dans des musées et galeries d'art à Bogotá, Berlín, Buenos Aires, Ciudad Juárez, Cúcuta, Denver, Madrid, Manizales, Medellín, Miami, Tokio et Venice. Il a collaboré à des publications telles que Errata#, El Astrolabio et Revista Cronopio. En effet, Jorge Luis Vaca Forero intervient comme conférencier et animateur d'ateliers dans des espaces tels que MAMBO (Musée d´Art Moderne de Bogotá), le Festival international de l'image et ISEA (International Symposium for Electronic Arts), réalisé par l'Université de Caldas et Plataforma Bogota.
 
De plus,  son travail a été  reconnu au niveau national et international. La Feria del Millón 2016 (Argos Award for Artistic Excellence), le prix des Arts Electroniques (2016) de la Outsiders Art Foundation dans la Foir d´Art JustMad, le Salon de Jeunes Talents 2015 de la Fondation Gilberto Alzate Avendaño et l´Es Cultura Local 2020 des Idartes (Institut régional des arts) (2020) et à Madrid et à Bogotá, ont eu souvent recours à son Savoir et à ses Expériences.
